Volunteers are needed for home delivered meals
The Wood County Committee on Aging is a not-for-profit corporation that has the responsibility of providing services to Wood County’s older citizens under the leadership & guidance of the governing board, staff & volunteers of the agency. A broad range of services is offered to enable our clients to enjoy secure, happy, & productive living.
HOME DELIVERED MEALS: If you are homebound, you are eligible for meals delivered to your home. These can be delivered hot on a daily basis or frozen on a weekly basis depending on the location and circumstances of the client.
CONGREGATE MEALS: A full-course meal is served at noon Monday thru Friday at the Rossford Community Recreation Center.
MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION ESCORT: WCCOA may be able to help you with your medical transportation needs. A second driver based at the Rossford Senior Center has increased the availability of this service. The eligibility requirements are: Wood County residency, and being 60 years of age or older. To register for up to 3 times per month for this service, please call Bowling Green at 1-800-367-4935 and ask for social services.
OTHER SERVICES INCLUDE: Transportation, Information Service, Education, Health & Physical Fitness, Legal Services, Escort Services, Income Tax Assistance, Insurance Claim Assistance, Telephone Reassurance through the Rossford Police Department, Friendly Visits, Social and Recreational Activities, Newsletters, and Volunteer Opportunities. Twice a month grocery shopping is available as well.
